Finding Clarity
When I first decided to open this practice, my vision was clear: to create a space where healing, growth, and transformation could happen, both for our clients and for our community. As someone who has personally experienced the powerful impact of therapy, I know how vital it is to have a safe, supportive environment to work through life's challenges.
Our core values—compassion, integrity, respect, empowerment, and community—are at the heart of everything we do. These principles guide us in building authentic, trusting relationships with every person who walks through our doors. I opened this practice not just to provide therapy, but to offer a place where individuals feel seen, heard, and valued. It’s about more than just providing services; it’s about creating a partnership in your journey toward well-being and finding clarity amidst the noise.
Finding clarity is one of the most powerful aspects of therapy. It’s the moment when things begin to make sense, when you can see your path more clearly, and when you regain a sense of control over your life. Every day, I am reminded of why this work matters: it’s about helping others gain that clarity, overcome obstacles, and create lasting change. It’s a privilege to be part of your story, and we are committed to standing alongside you as you navigate life’s complexities.
Thank you for choosing us as your trusted support.
With warmth and dedication, Tonya Beattie.

Standard Session Fee (Individual, Student, Child :50 minutes): $150
-

Payment Methods:
-
Payment is due at the time of service. We accept:
-
Credit cards
-
Email transfers
-
For more accessible counselling options, we offer equity pricing to a limited number of clients.
What is equity pricing?
-
Equity pricing is a reduced fee for individuals who face barriers to accessing counselling, starting at $120 per counselling hour, on a sliding scale.
-
This includes individuals with financial limitations (e.g. low income, limited insurance coverage, other financial hardships) or equity-deserving identities (e.g. racialized, queer, trans, disabled, etc.).
-
This is something we discuss individually and is specific to each counsellor, with limited spots. If you are First Nations or Inuit, you may be eligible for free counselling with approved providers through the Non-Insured Health Benefits program. We know that counselling can be expensive, and is unfortunately not covered by Ontario's Health Insurance Plan (OHIP). If cost or marginalization is a barrier to seeking counselling, then our equity pricing may be an option for you. Contact Us to ask about availability and learn more

-

-
Compassionate Cancellation Policy
We understand that life can be unpredictable, and sometimes, circumstances may arise that prevent you from attending a scheduled therapy session. Our goal is to provide the highest level of care and support while ensuring that all clients are able to access timely services.
General Cancellation Policy:
-
If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, please provide at least 24 hours’ notice before your scheduled session. This allows us to offer the time to another client who may be in need of support.
-
Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice may result in a cancellation fee of up to 100% of the session fee, as determined by your therapist.
-
Therapists are only paid for the time they spend with clients during scheduled sessions. When an appointment is missed or cancelled without sufficient notice, that time cannot be used for another client, which can affect both the ability to provide services to others and to your therapist's livelihood. To ensure that they can continue offering consistent and dedicated care to all clients, we ask for at least 24 hours' notice for cancellations or rescheduling.
Emergencies and Unexpected Circumstances:
-
We understand that emergencies or unforeseen situations can happen, and we want to support you during these times. If you are unable to give 24 hours’ notice due to an emergency or an unexpected circumstance, please contact us as soon as possible. We will do our best to accommodate you and may waive the cancellation fee on a case-by-case basis.
Chronic Cancellations:
-
If you find that you are unable to attend sessions regularly, we encourage you to reach out to discuss any challenges you may be facing. We are here to help and will work together to find a solution that supports your ongoing care.
-
Chronic cancellations may lead to a conversation about your treatment goals and whether alternative scheduling or support may be more appropriate.
No-Show Policy:
-
If you miss an appointment without providing any notice (a "no-show"), we will charge the full session fee. If this is a recurring issue, we may discuss options for more consistent scheduling or rescheduling practices.
Flexible Scheduling and Support:
-
We want you to feel comfortable and supported throughout your therapy journey. If you need to reschedule your appointment, please let us know as soon as possible. We will do our best to accommodate your needs and find an alternative time that works for you.
Compassionate Understanding:
-
We recognize that life’s challenges, such as illness, personal crises, and unforeseen events, can sometimes interfere with attending therapy. If you are facing a difficult time or financial hardship, please do not hesitate to communicate with us. We are committed to finding a compassionate solution to support your well-being.
Regular Check-ins:
-
To ensure that you continue to receive the best care, we encourage regular attendance and participation in therapy sessions. Consistency plays a significant role in your progress, and we want to work with you to find the best schedule that supports your personal and mental health needs.
-
We understand that finding the right therapeutic fit is essential for your healing and progress. If at any point you feel that our work together isn't aligning with your needs, we encourage you to let us know. It's important that you feel comfortable and supported in therapy. We can discuss whether adjustments can be made, or if it might be helpful to explore other options. Your well-being is our priority, and we want to ensure that you're getting the support you deserve.
